Meeting With City Council Members - 2026

We loved meeting with some faces of the City of Greensboro City Council. Local elections were held in the fall of 2025 and resulted in a big change to the Greensboro City Council. We had members who were not seeking re-election and we had some incumbent members lose their re-election bids resulting in SIX new faces on the City Council.

A BIG thanks to Mayor Marikday Abuzuaiter, Councilwoman Tammi Thurm, Councilwoman Cecile Crawford, and Councilwoman Crystal Black for coming out for our first meeting of 2026.

There were lots of audience questions - nearly all focused on a serious problem facing our growing region - HOUSING! Lemme tell you - this new council is singularly focused on this problem. Expect good things from this group!
