We are working with Siembra NC, FaithAction International, and the International Civil Rights Museum to put on a Know Your Rights event on Saturday January 3rd from 3:00 to 4:30pm on the second floor of the International Civil Rights Museum. We are going to have personal stories from immigration lawyers as well as clear, practical information about your legal rights and how to exercise them confidently. Be on the look-out for the official event and flyer. Topics to include the following: 

  • Your rights during police or immigration encounters

  • What to do if questioned or detained

  • Rights at work, school, and in public spaces

  • How to access local legal resources
