On Sunday, October 25, more than twenty Guilford County organizations will walk together to the polls for early voting. We will gather at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, 901 E. Friendly Ave., at 2:00 PM for speakers, gospel music, a drumline, and giant butterfly puppets, then walk nine-tenths of a mile to the early voting site at the old Guilford County Courthouse, 301 W. Market St.
Information tables from our endorsing organizations will be waiting on the lawn. This is a nonpartisan, multicultural, interfaith gathering — immigrant justice and health care and workers' rights and voting rights, side by side, because right now voting is how we change things. Shuttles (as needed) can bring walkers back to Church of the Redeemer afterward.
