Considering reading this article before the meetup!

We will be joined by Margaret Rowlette, who will be leading a discussion on how to be an effective activist in overwhelming times! In a world that feels heavier by the day, staying active, hopeful, and engaged can feel like an impossible task with the weight of it all — the news, the burnout, the endless fight for justice. Margaret will lead a discussion on effective activism using the principles of strategic nonviolence. We'll look at the dynamics of power, how to shake its pillars of support, and ways to design effective issue-based campaigns using nonviolent direct action, including how to choose tactics that lead to success.

Together, we’ll learn from experienced changemakers who have faced exhaustion and despair, yet continue to rise.

Come as you are — tired, hopeful, uncertain, determined. Leave with tools, connections, and a renewed sense that even in overwhelming times, you are not alone!

Food and drinks provided! Bring a friend!

We will have Monday Meetups on the SECOND Monday (usually) of each month! Got an idea for a topic or belong to a group that would like to collaborate? Email joelg@indivisiblegco.com.
